Excusing Students from SchoolStudents are expected to log in each school day according to the Uintah County School District calendar included. Students may occasionally need to be absent for illness, emergencies, court, etc. In such cases, students may be parent excused by calling 435-781-4675.
Students will be expected to maintain a minimum of 93% attendance. This allows parents to excuse students up to four days per trimester. All absences and tardies, regardless of the excuse, will be factored into the four days allowed. All un-excused absences are considered as truancies. Attendance ExpectationsIn order to afford students the opportunity to be academically successful they need to follow state and federal guidelines. Students must attend school for 180 days and 990 hours. Students may choose to log in and work in school on holiday and weekends to catch up or get ahead in classes. They still must attend school every school day or be marked absent. In order to achieve school attendance requirements, students must:
Credit Cut-OffsUpon enrolling into Uintah Online, students must meet required credit expectations or Adult Education will be recommended.

MasteryUintah Online requires mastery for each class. The percent of mastery is contingent upon recovery or primary credit.
Weekly Mentoring MeetingAny student falling behind in any attendance or progress requirements will be expected to meet with the teacher on the AVEC campus once each week. Students will be placed on a success plan that will be monitored. Success plans will contain goals set for future attendance and progress.
