Make a Schedule
Successful students commit to attend school at specific times each school day. Fill out the schedule below. Print and share it with your parents and teacher to stay on track for graduation.
Full time students: Schedule 6 hours each school day.
Part time students: Schedule 1.5 hours for every class each school day.

Stay on Track!
Don't get behind in your coursework! Each class is typically only 2 weeks long. If you miss a day, you can lose up to 10% of your progress. It's easier to stay caught up rather than get caught up in the last few days before the course deadline. If you're falling behind and need some extra help, contact your teacher right away.
Having Trouble with a Class - Try these tips
Some good tips for using Gradpoint are:
- Always look for the “objectives” for the lesson. These are the KEY DETAILS. The objectives for each lesson are outlined on the page: “In this lessons you will Learn….” (see screen shot below). Knowing what it is you are supposed to be learning is a helpful key.
- Take Notes throughout the lessons-good note taking is going to be crucial. Some students even find it useful to print some of the lesson pages and use a high-lighter to highlight key concepts. If you have access to a printer, this might be a good strategy for you.
- As you take the quiz or test, write down the questions you are not sure of. Write down the question and answer choices. Chances are, if you don’t pass the test – you got the questions you weren’t sure about, wrong. Having a note of what these were will help you know what to go back through the lessons to find the correct answers for. Then you will be more prepared to retake the test again.
- Use the lesson objectives (we talked about where to find these in tip #1). Find outside resources from youtube or teachertube, khan academy, etc.. Type the objective that you are working to learn, into one of these other websites and learn from another approach. Sometimes getting a new view on the concept will help.
